Inexpensive repaint over old paint, visible overspray. Decent bumper chrome, pitted door handles, old, frayed window seals. Poor right door fit. Sound upholstery and top. Body is sound.

Market commentary

The allure of the Amphicar is its ability to amaze onlookers (and frighten passengers) by its ability to be driven into the water and return. The condition of this Amphicar, and particularly the bad door fit, suggest it may mot be "seaworthy". The buyer may have visions of a restoration and high five-figure price, but the Amphicar is still a large undertaking.
