Market commentary

Consignment 6887. Reported sold at Russo and Steeles Monterey auction in 2005 for $1,457,500. At anything reasonably close to that amount or this one this is a pretty impressive car, even if it has no period racing history and, in fact, didnt even exist as a car in period. A good example of the awe in which some collectors hold any cars with Carroll Shelbys name attached to them, and apparently accurately reported as sold, not bought in.
