Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

389 348hp, Tri Power, 4 speed, Hurst shifter, P B, no P S, wheel covers, narrow whitewalls, pushbutton radio, bucket seats, no console. No documentation or PHS authentication. Poor, quick repaint. Poor right front fender and hood fit looks like a superficial accident repair. Sound interior. Fair, aged chrome. Ugly chassis. A used Goat. No Reserve.

Market commentary

Its probably fair to infer that most Goats, like Corvettes, have endured at least one trip to the body shop for significant repairs, although theyre usually better executed than this one. A 64 GTO without documentation is a goat in a poke, particularly with Tri Power. Still, sometimes a buyer just looks at it and concludes I have to have it. In this case its price is a reasonable compromise between appeal and uncertainty.
