Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Chrome Cragar 2 piece wheels, side exhausts, Sun Super tach in dash, 289 Ford, dual Weber quads on Edelbrock intake, electric fans, headers, cassette stereo. The first Griffith, factory prototype, vetted by Jack Griffith and the people who built it. Rough and aged but sound and presentable.

Market commentary

This is, to about a half dozen people in the world who know what it is, an important car. To everyone else its an old, used, tired English coupe with an American V8 that looks like its had as much track time as its had on the road. The sellers $75,000 reserve is far out of line and both of the two people here in Ft. Lauderdale who knew what they were looking at thought $35,000 was all the money.
