Market commentary
Offered at Christies Pebble Beach in 2001 where it was a no sale on the block at $250,000 high bid and was reported a post block sale at close to that amount. The bid here is +340,000; the $250,000 equivalent in 2001 was +227,500, so any way its sliced the reported bid here represents a meaningful increase in value over the intervening four years and its failure to sell indicates a particularly venal owner or the absence of real money in Fiorano.
