Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. Shelby team car, won Times GP at Riverside in 64 driven by Parnelli Jones. Eventually sold by Shelby to Oscar Kovaleski (famous Polish Racing Driver). Restored with original Shelby engine and 4 speed transaxle, now 324 cu.in. and 475 hp with 4 Webers. New nose and tail by Williams & Pritchard (originals lost) but otherwise represented as original throughout. Includes FIA papers and some spares. Race or show ready.

Market commentary

King Cobras (or any Cooper Monaco with big power) are real handsful on the track. Their double A arm rear suspension reacts to torque like spaghetti to hot water, giving creative handling. Even with this cars history and excellent presentation its on track characteristics limit historic racing enjoyment and make this bid quite reasonable.
