Market commentary
Bought for $209,516 (Pounds 112,727) at Coys Silverstone auction July of 1997, repainted subsequently. Thats a non compounded annual rate of return of 15.3% without allowing for the repaint. Better than bonds. The price here is exceptional even for an alloy block disc brake 300SL, even though it mirrors the extraordinary Gullwing prices realized three weeks ago at Barrett Jackson.
