Equipment
Chrome Borranis, no radio. Steel body with exposed headlights. Old repaint over cracks, worn but good original interior. Tight steering, clean and like new underhood. Mechanically restored but otherwise largely original. Michel Roquet collection.
Market commentary
A very nice Cal Spyder that has been carefully maintained with sympathy for its originality. The paint could be better, but at least the new owner wont be deterred from using the car for fear of bugsquash or stone chips, which its 280hp Type 168 61 outside plug engine will encourage. Good car, fair price, even if hammered sold some $70K over Poulains high estimate.
