Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

RHD. 4 cam, dual ignition, transaxle, deDion rear suspension, chrome spoke whire wheels, coupe body with Kamm tail and big plexiglas hood bubble over the V8s four Webers. The ex Cunningham 1962 LeMans car with subsequent US race history. Museum restored and drivable but clean and presentable. One of the most brutal, exciting, powerful and fast Sixties sports cars ever. Peter Kaus Rosso et Bianco collection.

Market commentary

This is the real thing, and the real thing got the bidders in Gstaad very excited. It came to the States, so there may be a chance it will appear at some historic race events soon. The boom of its 4 or 4.2 liter (no one seems to know which) V8 will be a welcome counterpoint to the prevalent Ferraris. This is uncommon by any and all standards. Expensive, but unique.
