Equipment
5 speed, Borrani chrome spoke wire wheels, front disc brakes, side vents, hood scoop. First owned by Peter Revson, then Chris Amon, later by David Uihlein among others. Mechanically and cosmetically redone as necessary. Paint cracked and chipped in places, drivers rear fender slightly wavy, chrome trim lightly scuffed. A neat car with a great history. No Reserve.
Market commentary
This car looked like a winner to everyone but the concours minded. Sure it had cracks in the paint and marks everywhere. It also has a tremendous history and the magnetic pull of a real drivers car. Even though it sold for mid estimate it seemed cheap. Other beautiful, historic, early sixties, coachbuilt Italian cars sell for far more money and are neither as fast nor as pretty as this, and none have both Peter Revson and Chris Amon in their ownership history. A good value.
