Equipment
The first production Lusso, raced from new, first by Leon Dernier (Elde). Restored in 2001 by DK Engineering, then again in 2005 to current historic racing specs in Switzerland. Roll bar, modern racing seats, fuel cell, fire system. 275hp engine, upgraded suspension and brakes. Lowered. Competed in 2005 Ferrari Challenge, but apparently not since Comes with original interior, bumpers, tool roll, FIA papers and other parts to return it to original road configuration. Ferrari Classiche certified.
Market commentary
This is a great example of going fast, very fast, with style, although it is hard to reconcile how a modified car like this meets Classiche standards when others require replacement of mundane things like the exhaust system to pass Classiche muster. In any event, this is one very healthy Lusso and the bidders in Maranello were, as the successful bid indicates, quite taken with it.
