Market commentary
The Corvair wasnt having much success in the economy car market so Chevrolet came up with the Monza Spyder in an attempt to reposition Corvair as a sports car. It didnt work, but the Spyders are unusually ingenious and an important early production application of turbocharging to turn a sows ear into a silk purse. This is a very well preserved, low miles example with none of the usual Corvair rot problems and the buyers here stepped up and paid a full retail price for it.
