Equipment
RHD. Good paint, worn original upholstery, aged chassis. All there, but definitely not fresh. This is the Team Meridian Chaparral raced by Skip Hudson and owned by Chuck Jones. Resurrected from parts retained by Jones with a new chassis built by Dick Troutman and a new body. Completed a few years ago and no longer in like new condition. FIA Identity papers. Unused in years and in need of thorough inspection and race prep.
Market commentary
Sold by RM at Monterey in 2005 for $577,500, then for $522,500 at Monterey a year ago. Theyve also peddled 003 for $1,111,000, giving them two of the five built. 004 is barely credible as a Chaparral, with a new chassis and body uniting some saved parts, and its price here is a realistic evaluation of its value.
