Equipment
289 Ford V8, 4 speed, Hurst shifter. Poor older paint and fair vinyl interior; fair chrome. Largely original and showing its age. The swap was done in the 60s by the original owner who retained it until 1997. Appears to be competently performed, except for the side outlet exhausts.
Market commentary
Alfa 2600s are worth so little with their original engines (about this much) that this swap has little effect on its value. It should, however, have a great effect on the 2600s performance, being lighter, more powerful and located farther back in the chassis for better balance. This is no investment, except in enjoyable driving.
