Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
The old paint is starting to crack at the bottom of the windshield. Paint is flaking off on the body edge under the trunk. The windshield seal is old and loose. The brightwork is dull and aged. The interior is aged, and the seats are creased and carpet dull. A dry California car, but in mediocre aged driver condition.
Market commentary
This is an extraordinary result for the aged condition of this 2000 Spider. It was sold at Auburn Fall in 1998 for $7,900, then at RM Monterey in 2001 for $26,400, both in essentially the same condition as it was offered here, and has added 3,539 miles to the odometer since 2001. It is no 'barn find', just a tired, used car that hasn't been neglected, and it would have been fully valued at 15% less than this result.
