Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

A complete replica built up around a successful 255 Offy engine with 2nd (Amick 58), 3rd (Goldsmith 60), 4th (Johnny White 64) and 5th (Goldsmith 59) finishes at Indy. Appears to be well built and in reasonbly good condition, with chromed suspension, blue painted frame, 4 wheel disc brakes and Halibrand knock off wheels but only a 2 speed gearbox.

Market commentary

A replica Testa Rossa might be worth $125,000 but they at least have some utility as a tour car. This replica Watson Roadster has no utility at all except as an elaborate engine stand for a successful engine. Paying more than $65 75,000 for it would be inexplicable.
