Equipment

215 ci aluminum V 8, 155 hp, 4 speed manual transmission, swing axle rear suspension. AM radio clock, aftermarket water and oil gauges, hide away top, three spoke steering wheel with a wood rim, wire wheels. Very nice period correct paint and origil interior showing its age and use. Used as a GM factory Tech Center Show car and then out fitted for road use and gifted to then president of Pontiac, Ed Cole, who allowed his son to drive it while at college. Doted to the San Antonio Museum of transportation in 1977. Two owner since. A rare and unique collectable.

Market commentary

A late consignment not included in the catalog, the point of this Pontiac was lost on the Pebble Beach bidders. Its very origil and has a known history. Its never been crushed or cut up into pieces. Its worth a good deal more than the reported high bid gives it credit for.
