Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Spent it's life back and forth between Europe and the US, 60,837 documented miles. 2,000 miles on full restoration. Good paint and chrome. Slightly uneven hood gaps. Small crack on the right front fender. Very good, lightly worn interior. Paint bubble right below the passenger's side window. Lightly used. Better than many 190SLs, but the boom a couple of years ago prompted many top notch restorations, and this car isn't up to that standard. Still, it's completely usable and needs nothing serious.
Market commentary
The decision to push this 190SL through a less than meticulous restoration probably was a good one in order to catch what's left of the 190SL boom rather than spending more on a better, but longer, restoration and then selling further into a softening market. The transaction is realistic both for the car and for the timing.
