Equipment
4 speed, Borrani wire wheels, alternator, 45DCOE Weber carbs, two tops including the original factory supplied hardtop, fog lights. Originally US delivered, modified by factory tech with 45mm Webers and alternator for first owner. Originally had ZF 5 speed and comes with an unrestored 5 speed spare. Restored for Best Auto in Modena in 1996 with subsequent work and some cosmetic freshening while being driven some 29,000 km. Very well presented with excellent cosmetics, clean and ready to be driven. Comes with car cover, floor mats, correct Borrani spare and thick documentation file. A beautiful car that has been pampered while being used frequently.
Market commentary
Sold by Bonhams in Monaco in 2004 for $123,856 (Euros 104,250) in essentially the same condition although there has been plenty spent since then on keeping it up and making it functionally better as well as re uniting it with its original hardtop and restoring it. The price here (Euros 224,600) represents both the increasing value of 3500 GT Vignale Spyders and the reassuring way this example has been prepared, maintained and used. This is a quality price for a quality car.
