Equipment
Borrani wheels, Blaupunkt radio.
Condition
#4 Fair
Has visible flaws to the naked eye. Runs fine, but could use mechanical or cosmetic attention.
The original paint is heavily cracked over the entire car. The brightwork is dull and lightly pitted throughout. All four wheels have chipped chrome and many spokes with surface rust poking through the finish. The engine compartment has been detailed. There have been some hoses fixed with standard parts store clamps. The interior is aged. The upholstery is all aged, fits loosely and has creasing. Unrestored, and not an especially prime example at that.
Market commentary
Sold for $423,000 at Gooding & Company's Scottsdale auction three years ago, and seemingly no work has been put into the car since although the odometer shows 356 more miles now. There's no reason for it not to have hammered sold at this high bid. Its condition is such that the term 'preservation' should not be applied to it.
