Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Used 250GTE rebodied by Chinetti to Cocos design in aluminum by Fantuzzi in 65, shown in NY, SF and Miami; looks like a front engined 250LM with chrome wire wheels. 6 Webers with TR cams. Good older repaint, interior worn as expected, well presented.

Market commentary

If youre Luigi Chinetti your 1965 fantasies on a 250GTE chassis are legitimate, not like a faux TR. A race history would help this car, but itll never have one. Not worth the $300 350K estimate; the bid is reasonable but the car may be more fun than $.
