Equipment
Polished nicked plated suspension, brake light, fire system. Gives a very good impression of a professionally restored and prepared race can that hasnt been used in a while. Jack Brabhams race winning team car in 1961 through the British GP (at Aintree) in June. Then upgraded to Tasman specs and raced in early 1962 by Brabham, then through 1964 by John Youl in Australia and New Zealand. Historic and usable at the same time.
Market commentary
Offered at Goodwood in 2000 by Brooks, it sold for $142,814 (GBP 95,000 compared with GBP 130,700 today.) Lightweight, simple, reliable and responsive, not to mention very good looking and with a real suspension instead of leaf springs, it is the epitome of Coopers successful formula. The price here is a sound value in a very desirable GP car.
