LHD. 3670cc/306hp, triple Webers, 4-speed, painted wire wheels, Michelin tires, Motorola radio, Smiths dash clock, woodrim steering wheel.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
One of 75 built and 30 in LHD. Delivered new to Georges Filipinetti. Raced in period and with one owner from 1962 to 2010, and he used it extensively on the road as well. Restored in the 2010s. Represented as matching numbers. A few small scratches in the grille trim and a small blister in the front bumper chrome. Two tiny cracks in the hood scoop. Some small scratches in the side and rear windows. Putting on the right side filler cap. Clean but not spotless wheels, tires, engine bay and underbody. Slightly loose seat leather and small cracks in the steering wheel center cap, but mostly good interior. A genuine DB4 GT used as intended.
Market commentary
This car offers another example of older sports cars with a little wear and tear softening but not sinking in the market. At this same auction in 2021, when things were swinging upward, it sold for $3,305,000. Its price has dropped, then, but only to the tune of a handful of bids, and the DB4 GT remains one of the most valuable British sports cars of its day.
