Equipment
383/360hp Chrysler wedge, single 4-barrel, Torqueflite, wheel covers, narrow whitewalls, suicide rear doors, factory radio.
Condition
#4 Fair
Has visible flaws to the naked eye. Runs fine, but could use mechanical or cosmetic attention.
US delivered, one of 154 built. Faded, scratched chrome with a large dent in the front bumper. The badge on the nose is missing, leaving old glue in its place. Paint looks good from a distance but shows some cracks up close. Imperfect gaps. Surface rust underneath. Cracked steering wheel and worn switchgear but decent interior. An inherently captivating automobile, but this car hasn't embodied the term "Excellence" in many, many years. Needs a lot, as do the other Facel Vegas on offer here.
Market commentary
It's a rare, very handsome automobile for not much money even if it is quite rough. At this price it might even be close to economical to restore it. The Chrysler bits will be reasonably easy to source. The Facel Vega-specific bits, on the other hand, won't and this is a daunting project that may end in tears.
