Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Nardi woodrim steering wheel, roll bar. Good paint, interior and chrome. Clean engine compartment. Chassis isnt as good as the top and shows some use, but will do. Impressively flat, even fitting body panels. Reputedly the last Carrera GT Speedster built, with 692 3 12 volt 4 cam engine, camber compensator and front oil coolers. Unstamped engine.

Market commentary

In a flight of creativity the cataloger noted, the increased weight of the four camshaft engine ... changed the front rear weight distribution. The new Carrera now had more grip on exiting a turn plus lighter steering.... The next step would have been to fit wheelie bars and have no steering at all This is an important Porsche and with 115hp is nothing to trifle with. The price paid is impossible to argue with.
