Market commentary
Even with this cars less than gorgeous presentation, the buyer got a ton (actually two and a half tons) of car for his money. The size is one thing, with 227 inches in length and a weight of almost 7,000 pounds, but the huge list of power features is something else The engine may be rated only 350hp but it had stump pulling torque. That said, the price paid was actually generous for a car that for some reason doesnt quite fetch the same kind of money as a comparable Cadillac. It sold at Barrett Jackson in Palm Beach two years ago for $20,900 so, depending upon Mr. Thomass commission deal with Mecum, is essentially breakeven.
