Pontoon fender, chrome fender vent, side exhaust, full windscreen, headrest. Built for Swaters, possibly the DeChangy Beurlys 58 LeMans 6th place car. DNF at LeMans 59 with Bianchi DeChangy then to Maranello Concessionaires who updated the bodywork to present configuration and installed Dunlop disc brakes. Engine swapped by Ferrari in 60 (0266D) then replaced by this 4 stud 250TR engine in 69 also by Ferrari. Little used since complete strip and rebuild by the present owners.
Market commentary
This TR isnt one of the best of its line but shows where old Ferrari racing cars, even with mediocre racing histories and record of swapped parts typical for a real race car, are going.
