Equipment
Chrme spoke Borranis, bright side vents, covered headlights, chrome sill moldings. The third of 50 built, sold new in California (how appropriate!) and stayed there until 1999. Displayed at Pebble Beach in the late 70s. Cosmetically redone in the UK in 2000. Mechanically rebuilt with engine overhaul more recently, but never restored, just consistently maintained by a few sympathetic owners. Sharp, clean, fresh, tuned and ready to be driven with pride and confidence. Ferrari Classiche certified subject to being fitted with correct exhaust and rear springs.
Market commentary
Compared with $11 million or 7 million Euros for the Coburn SWB Cal Spyder this looks like a mere pittance, but its still a handsome price for a never restored LWB Cal Spyder. These cars have effectively doubled in less than three years, which makes any kind of projection fraught with opportunities for error.
