Equipment
Painted centerlock wire wheels, Dunlop SP tires, dual wing mirrors, wind wings, woodrim steering wheel, wood shift knob, black vinyl boot cover, alternator, Small Mouth body.
Condition
Long scratch on the left front fender and another on the right side of the nose. Chip at the front of the passenger's side door. Very good interior. Clean, lightly detailed engine bay. Some light pitting on the windshield frame. It has flaws and was done on a budget, but it's a solid driver that looks great from 10 feet away.
Market commentary
Sold at Mecum St Charles in 2012 before its recent work for $16,430. It was then at Kissimmee earlier this year, where it was offered three times with two no sales at $16,000 and $22,500 after being reported sold on the first Saturday at a generous $25,000 hammer, $27,500 with commission. The Kissimmee buyer seems to have been eager to pass this car on, and was lucky in Houston to take a small hit reflecting the difference in commissions.
