Equipment

Reportedly the factory development car from 1957 1963. Rudge wheels, folding steering wheel, disc brakes, factory replacement engine (1971), two tops. Cosmetically restored in 1990 and in sound and presentable condition. Rolf Meyer Collection.

Market commentary

This is expensive for a 300SL Roadster, but can easily be explained by the cars unique history. At January 2002 exchange rates it would have taken $216,000 to buy it and would have been a good value for its history and condition. Its probably still a good value to a buyer wielding +uros.
