The first production 300SL Roadster. 1997 restored with magnificent cosmetics to better than new condition and driven 33 miles since.

Market commentary

The $250,000 restoration cost makes the basic 300SL Roadster worth about $119,000 Sounds about right. This really is a big bet on the quality of Scott Grundfors 4 year old restoration. With no subsequent use or even much shakedown, there could be a myriad problems waiting to be fixed. Is the first production car really worth a big premium
