Equipment
368/300hp, automatic, pushbutton AM radio, clock, temp gauge, power front seat, power windows, power brakes, power steering, chrome wheel covers and whitewall tires.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Even gaps. Good paint other than fish eyes on the trunk lid and chips in the panel edges around and on the doors. The bumpers are aged but polished, and the trim has some scratches and a few dings but is fair overall. The wheel covers were polished and the tires are white. The engine is clean up top, but has significant grime behind damper and the motor mounts have paint on them. Unrestored underneath but the frame was quickly sprayed. The interior looks original and worn, and the pipping on the seats is cracked and the dash shows age. Represented as a mechanical restoration on a car that was parked in Arizona for 20 years and looks like it. A decent driver and relatively rare, but it needs more TLC.
Market commentary
Sold at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale in 2014 for $24,200, a no reserve transaction that was highly favorable to the buyer. Lincoln Premiere values have increased since then, so the reported high bid in Auburn is a similarly low number and the consignor can't be blamed for refusing it, even considering its superficial redo.
