Equipment
Chrome spoke Borranis, Halda Speed Pilot, clock with Cyrillic lettering mounted on transmission tunnel, fuse box installed under dashboard, no bumpers.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Confused for a long time with 0533GT with which it swapped identies in the 1950s in a tax avoidance scheme. Now conclusively established to be 0695GT and reunited with its original ID plate, steering box and taillight lenses but deprived of the bumpers which belonged on 0533GT. Decent paint, good interior, orderly underhood, old undercoat on chassis. Set up for high speed road events with roundels, 3-point belts, fire system and recovery hooks.
Market commentary
This Boano is eligible for most of the events Ferrari owners want (or should want) to attend. It has been thoughtfully provided with the accoutrements of high speed events and could have been comfortably let go for little, if any, more than the reported high bid here. At the reported bid or even a little more it would have been a sound value for a new owner.
