Equipment
3442/210hp, 4-speed with overdrive, wire wheels, Pirelli Cinturato tires, dual wing mirrors and dual side mirrors, Lucas driving lights, tools.
Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
Matching numbers. Faded but charming mostly original paint. Chrome looks newer but the front bumper has a small dent. Light pitting on the windshield frame. Dry, cracked original leather and seriously worn and discolored carpets. Chrome flaking off the wheels but no rust or anything visible. Unrestored but maintained underneath. Highly desirable configuration for a 140, and the preservation is impressive enough that it’s arguably worth saving and maybe even paying a premium for.
Market commentary
The Pebble bidders did pay a premium for that originality, but not an excessive one. It is a sound preservation value at this price.
