Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Chrome spoke Borranis. Raced and rallied with new by Jacques Peron, the seventh of eight Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France Berlinettas with the original style coachwork. A beautiful (Bob Smith Coachworks) restoration done about seven years ago to road ready configuration. Third in class at Pebble Beach in 2003. Today it is no longer fresh but could be detailed to beyond perfection.

Market commentary

With early racing history that doesnt qualify for the adjective important, it seems like this Ferrari could have been sold for the reported bid, particularly after the owner has had several years to extract the enjoyment and satisfaction from showing it.
