Equipment
287 173hp, automatic, pushbutton radio, power rear anten, chrome skirts and fender trim, P S. Excellent paint, interior and chrome, sharp, clean chassis with good paint and we undercoat. Top of engine is nearly like new but down in the hard places to reach its oily and dirty. Paint has minor scratches and touched up chips. Seats are lightly stretched and surface creased. A very attractive older restoration with some miles appropriate to the 8,728 on the odometer.
Market commentary
A better built, more powerful and luxurious automobile than its contemporaries from Chevrolet, Pontiac Star Chiefs have never appealed to collectors as the more affordable (in 1955) Bel Airs and thus represent very good value at market prices like this.
