Silver painted wire wheels, full width plexi windscreen, single aeroscreen, covered headlights, 4 spoke steering wheel, louvered hood. Owned at one time by Louis Chiron and raced by Andre Testut as part of their Monte Carlo Carsport team. 1957 Mille Miglia starter, raced at Caracas in 1957, 11th overall 3rd in class. Engine swapped for a 1,300cc in the 60s, then restored and re engined with the present 1,450cc OSCA unit during restoration by Michel Nobert in the 80s. Restored again 2004 2007 with new body and in better than new condition.
Market commentary
One of the most desirable of all middle displacement sports racers, one of few front engined cars of the era capable of outrunning a Porsche RS. This car has an exceptional history, missing only ten years in the 60s 70s, and a meticulous restoration. Its a welcome starter in any event its owner might want to attend.
