Carefully restored in Germany with the factory supplied Rennversion kit that had been bought new with the car in 1955. Alloy roadster doors, repro aero screen, no bumpers, heater or top. One of 2 surviving of 8 Rennversion kits built by M B.

Market commentary

Nearly drum brake 300 SL Roadster money; hard to value but a pretty, well restored, rare and purposeful 190 SL with aluminum doors that cost about as much as the underlying restored car. Shows that very special cars can bring very special prices.
