Market commentary
There are a few more revisions to 558s history of use, damage and survival than are comfortable, but there are apparently no pretenders to its history. The price it brought appropriately handicaps its value relative to other cars with more illustrious and less fraught histories. It brought just $654,500 here in 1999 which makes its ownership experience rewarding both in terms of enjoyment and in the sellers bank account. That, however, does nothing to lessen the buyers value, which is full.
