Market commentary
Much more powerful than a 250GT, one off coachwork. Consistently owned and maintained by enthusiasts since new. Pebble Beach winning restoration. All that is the recipe for an extraordinary Ferrari value, which this most definitely is even though the hammer price is a bit below RMs low estimate. The caliber of the restoration and the bodywork design (which has more than a few elements of the later 250GT Tour de France in it) commanded a superior, but fully deserved, result.
