Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

P S, P B, automatic. Old undercoat on chassis, thin trim chrome, decent paint, solid body, sound older interior. An old cosmetic restoration in sound and usable condition, a bit too good really to need a restoration but a sound basis for one after a few years enjoyment. No Reserve.

Market commentary

Surprisingly, the first of the Chrysler 300s, which pioneered the luxury performance coupe concept and made history on NASCAR ovals and the beach at Daytona, has largely escaped collectors notice. Its dual quad Hemi started the Hemi legend and this is an important, but overlooked, car. The price is appropriate in todays market but is an astute buy longer term.
