Equipment
Centerlock wire wheels, Coker Classic whitewalls, dual wing mirrors.
Condition
Body-off restored. Scored 99.69 at JCNA concours in 2014. Small crack on the tail. Very clean, lightly run, correct engine bay. Very good paint and chrome. Paint rubbing off in front of the driver's side door from friction of opening. Excellent interior. A show car that's been enjoyed as it should be over the past two years.
Market commentary
One of the more desirable cars in Houston this year, it saw enthusiastic bidding until it crossed the six-figure threshold, then the bids slowed way down. Mecum pressured the reluctant seller hard to lift the reserve, and he eventually relented, letting a beautiful final year XK120 M go for money that would ordinarily buy a car with significantly more flaws. This was a good buy.
