Driven in the 1955 MM by Sergio Sighinolfi to 6th place, sold to Jacques Jonneret and Peter Monteverdi who had it bodied as a berlinetta, then acquired by Nigel Moores without body and by the present owner for whom it was restored with the present body in the late 1980s. Restored to like new condition with only collection display since.
Market commentary
This is where all the Ferrari excitement has been lately and deservedly so. V12 race cars have pretty much all disappeared into the private market while fours have come to the fore at auctions. This transaction is typical of the market in Britain although skewed by today''s exchange rate when stated in dollars.
