Equipment
RHD. Painted wire wheels, full racing screen, covered headlights and low air intake. Originally to Porfirio Rubirosa in California then sold to John von Neumann and raced by him, Ginther, Hill and others with good results. Engine later pulled for a Chevy, now with 3 liter 750 Monza engine and in respectable historic race ready condition.
Market commentary
$550 $700K is where 500 Mondials usually sell. This car benefits from an exceptional history in the US, with great drivers (as well as a breath of scandal from Rubirosas brief ownership). The later engine is a detriment, but not unexpected with race cars. A bid of more than the amount reported would be a big surprise.
