Market commentary
Offered here in 1997 with a reported bid of $140,000, then by RM at Meadow Brook in 2000 with a reported bid of $165,000. Sold by RM at Amelia in 2001 for $170,500, then here in Monterey in 2008 for $550,000. The subsequent restoration is meticulous in its attention to detail and the bidders responded to its rarity, specification and condition with a generous bid appropriate to the car.
