Condition
#3 Good
Runs and drives well. Flaws not noticeable to passersby. Most common condition.
18th of 40 Bertone-bodied examples. Restored in the 1980s, but seldom used since. Decent paint with some dings on the nose and hood as well as a few chips on the edges of the doors and touch ups on the driver's side. Very good interior. It's an incredibly tiny car, so it is ideal for people who want an etceterini to race and can fit inside. There are too many cosmetic flaws, however, to show.
Market commentary
In one of the most memorable moments of the auction, smoke began to issue forth from under the dashboard as soon as it arrived on the auction block. A calm and collected Max Girardo descended from the podium to lead the response and the smoldering (wiring under the dashboard) was soon put out. Max returned to the podium, announced that the seller would put the car right, and proceeded to sell it for this, somewhat reduced, price, a 'fire sale' bargain for a rare, pretty and competitive Siata.
