Vehicle details

Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Lefthand drive, 100hp 2 1 2 liter engine, 2 SU carbs, driving lights, leather covered roof, period radio, tools. Origil except for a tired old repaint. Sound but scratched chrome, good interior wood, sound origil interior. 3rd in class at Pebble Beach in 1959, comes with history, books, articles and a copy of the Pebble Beach program. A very unusual, sound and potentially presentable Riley.

Market commentary

You just never know what to expect at B J. This Riley was just a marvel to find, a very special car, highly origil and a relic of the days when the PB Concours dElegance had a far different format than today. Bought by a dealer who will enjoy it, appreciate its uniqueness and find it a good home.
