Equipment
Red steel wheels with hub caps, dual wing mirrors, rear-mounted spare wheel, black cloth top boot, wood dash, banjo steering wheel, wind wings.
Condition
Lightly scratched chrome, more so on the radiator shell. Average quality paint with a little orange peel on the hood, a drip on the fuel tank and a chip on the driver's side door. Used engine bay. Slightly dirty wheels. Worn out, old upholstery. Very much a driver quality TD, ideal for weekend drives and occasional tinkering.
Market commentary
This transaction shows yet again that Mecum isn't exactly the place to go if you want to get a good price on your old British sports car. If you're buying one, on the other hand, it's a great place to go. Even for a car with some needs, this was a great deal on a TD in today's market.
