Notes and observations recorded by Hagerty staff.

Equipment

Stainless steel spoke alloy rim Borranis. 1953 Paris show car, ex Steve McQueen. Handsome jet style Vignale coachwork with flamboyant chrome trim. Well restored in 2001 probably completing restoration started a while ago. Excellent paint and interior, runs well. Zwolsman drug seizure sale by Dutch government.

Market commentary

The primo car among the Zwolsman seizures, completed by the Dutch government pending sale. 375 Americas are very rare in any form, the flashy Paris Show Vignale body makes this exceptional and very well bought for its uniqueness and fresh restoration. The mind boggles at the thought of a US government commissioned restoration; the Dutch on the other hand probably did it right. Peter Rae. Buyer 10 06 01 says it was not the Paris Show car.
