Equipment
RHD. First owned by Briggs Cunningham and Alfred Momo, raced once by John Fitch, then by Richard Lyeth. Known history from new and complete as delivered by Vignale except for removal of the small cowl mounted air scoop during restoration. Hard cover over the passengers seat, dual Plexiglass curved windscreens, chrome spoke Borranis. Carefully restored an in nearly like new condition. Paint buffed through on rear deck lid, interior lightly used. Paint appears to be newer than the rest of the restoration. Its not ready for Pebble Beach but is perfect for Laguna Seca.
Market commentary
This bid came close to buying the car and it was subsequently sold for an undisclosed amount close to the pre sale estimate. Its complete, no stories and has all its important original components as well as being clothed in one of the most attractive of all Vignale bodies. Good value for the money paid. $2,025,000 not for publication.
